Are you interested in making a difference in your community?  If so, the West Northridge is Neighborhood Council is looking for you to run as a board candidate.

As an elected board member of your Neighborhood Council you will represent your community as a voice to the City of Los Angeles. Any stakeholder in the neighborhood council boundaries may run for office.

The Northridge West Neighborhood Council is looking for candidates for the Council Board.  Haven’t ever heard of the Neighborhood council?  To provide an inclusive and open forum for public discussion of community issues, and to advise the City of Los Angeles on issues concerning city governance, the needs of this neighborhood, the delivery of city services, and on matters of a citywide nature, as they relate to the Stakeholders of the NWNC.

If you live, work, or own property, or otherwise have a stake in the community, then you are encouraged to file for candidacy.

Candidacy filing runs from July 10, 2012 through August 9th, 2012, with elections to be held Saturday September 8th.
