There is a new kid in the valley — Mendocino Farms in Sherman Oaks!
We were lucky enough to attend their Pre-Grand Opening on Saturday night, October 5th. This was our first experience at any of their locations. With that said, we did not know what to expect.
We tried the Blue Cow Steak Cobb with whole grain mustard vinaigrette and the Chicken MBT. When I opened up my salad container, the aroma of the tomatoes and avocados smelled wonderfully fresh. I tossed it with the dressing and the flavors just popped. I admit $10 seems like a lot for a salad of this size considering one of my favorites in the area is twice as big. Yet, I would pick this one on flavor alone.
Plus, knowing that it supports local farmers makes it that much better: “Mendocino Farms promotes eating seasonally and locally by sharing with our guests how easy it is to incorporate local produce in their sandwiches, salads and soups and how to navigate the Farmer’s Market to purchase that product from their Local Farmers. – See more at: http://mendocinofarms.com/about-us.html#sthash.gDgN5NSF.dpuf”
I will be returning for their Grand Opening night to give it a second go and see if my salad is just as wonderful. I think I’m already hooked!
Truly, a must try for sandwich and salad lovers. Oh and their tea beverage. I only wish they opened earlier in the summer.
Disclaimer: As a guest during the Pre-Grand Opening training night, we received our meals as compliments from Mendocino Farms Sherman Oaks. Thank you everyone, it was a wonderful experience from arrival to departure.
