Griffith Observatory – Open until 5pm New Years Eve
“Southern California’s gateway to the cosmos! Visitors can look through telescopes, explore exhibits, see live shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, and enjoy spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.”

Japanese Garden – Open until 3:15pm New Years Eve
Take a walk, zen out with beautifully sculpted shrubbery and relax at the Japanese Garden. 

Universal City Walk – $5 Movie Parking (see site for details).

Hiking – Check out the best hike for 2015 as mentioned by Modern Hiker! They selected the Las Virgenes Canyon as best hike for 2015. If you drive far enough west on Victory Boulevard just past Valley Circle Boulevard, you will drive right into the entrance of Victory Trailhead. Check out the photos below.

Grand Park LA – “Event begins at 8pm DEC 31. Projections and music run all night. Food service runs through midnight. Event ends 1am JAN 1.”

*If you have not seen holiday lights yet, there are a few displays still active through the weekend. L.A. Zoo Lights – Starts at 6pm.
